The course gives the systemic overview of importance of inorganic agents from a pharmaceutical point of view.The course aims at providing the students with a wider knowledge on use of inorganic compounds as therapeutic agents. This course introduces chemical principles with relevant pharmaceutical examples allowing students to see the relevance of this subject for their future professions. Upon completion of the course, students shall be able to: -recognize different classes of inorganic pharmaceuticals -understand the medicinal and pharmaceutical importance of inorganic compounds -appreciate the importance of inorganic pharmaceuticals in preventing and curing the disease -integrate knowledge from foundational sciences to explain how specific drugs or drug classes work and evaluate their potential value in individuals and populations -gather knowledge on synthesis, qualitative control, characterization, quantitative control of pharmaceutical preparations which contain inorganic drugs, their mechanism of action at the molecular level as well as their use and side effects
