This course aims to develop the four core skills of language acquisition of students as they are central to the persuasion of higher education across all disciplines at Brac University. These skills are reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The reading section puts emphasis on the different sub-skills of reading like inferring, understanding, classifying and relating textual information contextually. In the writing section, the students learn to demonstrate different mechanics and structure of writing. The listening and speaking sections focus on the correct structure of spoken English and pronunciation. In addition, the course also focuses on various social and interpersonal skills like national and global thinking, innovation, critical thinking, as well as the spontaneous use of technology by integrating them with language teaching & learning.
