The course aims to introduce the essential principles and concepts of management and their applications in influencing individual and group behavior in an organizational setting and demonstrate how important they are for successfully managing an organization. The course provides a general analysis of management, basics of planning and decision making, organizing, and controlling, leadership and motivational techniques, and interpersonal relations in business and non-business organizations.
To help the students understand the skills, functions, and responsibilities of a manager. To learn the tools and techniques needed to perform managerial jobs. To analyze organizational environment and how the environmental forces influence managerial decision making. To learn tools and techniques required to lead and motivate people in the workplace. To deal with real life organizational situations through case analyses and organizational studies.
