This is fundamental course on history of Bangladesh. The objective of the course is to provide students with basic information on the major political events that shaped frontier of Bangladesh and identity of the people who lives withing this political boundary. This course cover events from Colonial period till early days of Bangladesh. Here students will learn how global changes impacted local politics and to that extent life of the most marginalized people who neither had any control nor the knowledge to comprehend how and why their culture and society had changed. It will also help them understand how people adapted to this apparently inexplicable changes through the ages.
